When a dragon snatches a princess from the dining table, things take a turn for the worse — for the dragon.
How’s that for my logline?
Since May, I was able to make the character sheets for everyone but the dragon. Things are coming together. I added this bit to my website. I will add more and update the branding as I go. Aside from the dragon, the next steps are the style frames. I hope to finish them before the month is up and add them to my website as well.
I’ll have a bit more time to work on this now that some life obligations have been taken care of. In July, I’m going to go over the shot list again to decide how to prepare the character rigs for Moho Animation and get an idea of how much more prepping I have to do before animating.
Having said that, I’m going to start working on some close-ups that don’t need much in terms of backgrounds. It’s been months, and I miss animating now. After an easy shot or two, I’ll finalize some of the backgrounds.
Aside from this, the Sleepy Gallows shop is almost ready! I want to launch in July or maybe August. We’ll see how that goes. Remember, I’m also a web developer! I built that website myself from scratch.
Animation Spotlight: Thought of You
Thought of You by Ryan Woodard has been a favorite of mine since I saw it in one of my college classes. It was and is so beautiful. I find it interesting that such a simple short has so many interpretations.
What do you think it’s about?
Art Tutorial I Like
I’ll be reviewing this video soon, as I have roughly animated most of the short already. It’s always the clean-up that gives me a tough time, and I think Moho can be really helpful in this regard!
